with special events, activities, and reading challenges for all ages!

For Everyone

EVENTS

Wednesday, July 10th at 11 AM

Reptile Show

Learn all about reptiles in this interactive and educational program with Zowie of Her-petology.

Tuesday, July 30th at 11 AM

Birdsong Program

Join Park Naturalist Kristin Collins from Point Au Roche State Park to learn about common local birds and easy ways to study birds for people of all ages and abilities!

For Kids

Children 12 & under can participate in the summer reading challenge by tracking their reading July 8 - August 3. Stop into the Wead Library for a Summer Reading Launch Bag (while supplies last).

For Tweens &  Teens

Teens 13-18 can participate in the Summer Reading Program through an online summer reading challenge. This challenge is available on the Library's Beanstack platform.

Tween Bracelets & Buttons Event (Ages 8 -12)

Make buttons on the library’s new button maker and create your own bracelets.

Teen SNAP-Ed Program (Ages 13 -18)

Join SNAP-Ed Nutritionist Kristy Coyle from Cornell Cooperative Extension to learn about all things healthy eating and physical activity through interactive lessons. Participate in activities and sample new recipes.

Wednesday, July 24th at 4:30 PM

Teen Escape Room (Ages 13-18)

Have you ever wanted to test your knowledge and skills in an escape room? Now’s your chance! You’ll work together to solve puzzles and escape the room before the clock runs out! Registration required.
