Summer Reading Program

All Together Now

The theme of the 2023 Summer Reading Program is All Together Now. Summer Reading Book Lists, events, and activities will focus on the themes of friendship, unity, and kindness.

For Kids

Read, learn, and play all summer long with the Library’s Summer Reading Program!

Join us for weekly crafts, a summer reading challenge, themed events, and so much more!

 
Children 12 & under can participate in the summer reading challenge by tracking their reading July 5th - August 5th. Stop into the Wead Library for a reading log and July calendar. 

For Teens

Teens 13-18 can participate in the Summer Reading Program through an online summer reading challenge. This challenge is available on the Library's Beanstack platform. 

  • July 10th – 22nd join us to write and decorate cards with kind messages. These cards can be given to a friend or donated to a local organization. 

  •   July 24th – August 5th Stop in to the Wead Library to create paper origami flowers in the Young Adult section. 

  • July 27th at 3 p.m. Tween & Teen Crafts: Create & decorate affirmation jars & bird feeders. 

For Adults

Adults can participate in the Summer Reading Program through the Adult summer reading challenge. Join the challenge on the Library's platform Beanstack

July 12th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Michael Albert's Cereal Box Collage Workshop is a program for all ages! 
Registration is required.
