DOWNLOADING LIBBY

Downloading Libby on an Apple device:

  1. From your home screen,
    open the App Store . 

  2. Search for “Libby” and tap.

  3. Tap Get and sign in with your Apple ID (if prompted).

 

Downloading Libby on an Android device:

  1. Open Google Play.

A. On your phone, tap .

B. On your computer, go to play.google.com.

2. Search for “Libby” and tap.

3. Tap Install.

 

You can also access Libby in a web browser at libbyapp.com

 

Follow the prompts to find your library and sign in with a library card. You will need your library barcode and PIN number. This is typically the last four digits of your phone number.

Every resident of New York State is allowed a New York Public Library (NYPL) Card. New York residents ages 13 and older can get a digital library card through our online card application and gain access to an array of digital resources. Be sure to save the digital barcode and PIN number provided to you. To browse the collection, you can use the NYPL's main e-reader app, SimplyE, as well as through other apps such as Overdrive/Libby and Cloud Library.
